South Carolina Home Corporation is not your typical real estate company. We are a sales, marketing and management company working in our specialty, residential real estate. We have found a niche for our business. We have studied the market, the needs of real estate consumers, and the services that are offered by other real estate companies. In certain cases we have found that we can offer services to consumers in better ways than our competitors. The goal has always been to address areas of need and to make the consumer’s experience with us better than it would be with one of our competitors (i.e. quicker sale, higher sale price, better return, etc…)

We have noticed recently that prospective tenants have specific needs that are not being met. As tenants try to identify rental homes that fit their needs, then view those homes and execute a lease on the one they want, there are a lot of steps they need to work through. As far as we can tell, these needs are not being met by anyone in the market place. We are regularly contacted by prospective tenants who are frustrated that they have tried to lease a home, but by the time they make the lease offer the home they want is no longer available (they were too late). Tenants have difficulty viewing homes. Property managers appear to be too busy right now in many cases to return calls. Also, tenants tell us about the difficulty they have in even identifying homes that are available that fit their needs.
South Carolina Home Corporation has developed Tenant Representation services to help tenants work through the process of finding and leasing a home. For a small fee that can be charged on a credit or debit card, SCHC leasing agents will work exclusively for the tenant client to find homes that fit their needs, show them the homes, get the many questions answered about amenities, utilities, etc…, and help the tenant negotiate and execute the lease. These services fit beautifully with many tenants’ needs.
